With a growth in the brand list and a widening of Selvedge Run’s brand portfolio, visitors and brands were eager to see the fourth edition commence.
Established members of the Selvedge Run community such as Filson, Wrenchmonkees, Indigofera, Runabout and Red Wing Heritage, were joined today by brands coming to the show for the first time such as Iron and Resin, Sports d’Epoque, Converse, Wood and Faulk and many more.
Bringing the exhibition spaces closer together – the Soda Complex now houses two halls. After touring the new spaces, visitors moved across to The Makers Yard. This new concept store segment allows visiting shops to expand into lifestyle goods. Many new brands are in the space including Coboc, Triumph & Disaster, Raumgestalt, Beyer’s Oil, and Urban Light Factory. They were joined by returning brands who were excited to enter the space such as Juniper Ridge and Moritz Wenz Studio.
While looking through Raw Bible – a high-quality brand guide launching at Selvedge Run, visitors enjoyed a cup of The Makers Yard – bourbon barrel aged espresso coffee. This unique blend is the result of a collaboration between Berlin’s Flying Roasters and Selvedge Run partners Bulleit Bourbon.
The Gibson bus is back at Selvedge Run this winter, and provides a more private area for brands, visitors and press to meet, interview, make orders and chat over coffee.
After a busy day of work, everyone is looking forward to spending the night catching up with familiar faces at the Selvedge Run opening party. This invite-only party will be held tonight at the Kulturbrauerei and promises to be as enjoyable as the last.
Then on to day two – which promises to be a busy one.
